This is a first link to Gallaudet University in the US, which specialises in higher education for deaf people. Its campus is illustrated above. I know of no such institution in the UK, or indeed in Europe. I found out about it via a posting on the Guardian website from DARG, Deaf Action Research Group, which has produced a report on access to universities for deaf people, here. Paradoxically, the data protection act has prevented the group from gaining access to data on degree classification, as numbers are so small that individuals could be identified.
