25 years after Sue Palmer suggested this in The TES, I have managed to record a foundation lesson. Each of these is unique, tailored to the needs of the individual pupil. K is in Y6, and her teacher, Craig Fereday, describes her as "very frustrated" at not being able to read "like everybody else." She is, however, conscientious, and tries hard. K's mother and teaching assistant sat in. The lesson is in two parts, partly because of the free time limit on Zoom, and partly to give us a breather.
