This year's conference costs just £100 for a two-day event, and once again has as its backbone the ASTs and subject leaders from specialist schools. If you can, go. You'll meet interesting people, have a chance to disuss your work with some of the best teachers in the country, and have a great weekend. I can't think of a better opportunity for a newly qualified teacher. Or an old stager like me, come to that...
