My computer, bought from Quiet PC three years ago, had been playing up for a month. It would switch itself off, then try and fail repeatedly to switch itself back on again. This was truly infuriating. I'd bought the machine because of the stress caused by continuous fan noise, and it had run very well. I had protection on it - AVG and tune up - so what caused it? I had no clue.
Neither, to be fair, did the person I called at Quiet PC. However, he spent over an hour and a half trying to find out, even though I had no right to ask, and talked me through a complete reinstall. In the event, it wasn't enough. The problem came back, possibly due to an other antivirus system, and I had to start again, twice. But I got there, and would not have done so without Symon's help.
If you're spending your own money on a computer, check out Quiet PC. You won't regret it. Their motto is "Hear yourself think", and they live up to it.
But Quikfit? Weren't they the ones who invented extra jobs for no reason? Actually, to make money, and they did it to a relative or mine a long time back, over shock absorbers as I recall. But they've changed their ways. The aircon on my Mondeo wasn't working. They provide a charge up service for £45, and when it charged, but didn't work, did not charge me for finding this out. Very grateful, and would go back to them.
